A Scam I Experienced on Social Media

Recently I got a message saying I could upgrade my phone with a big discount and at that time I was already thinking about getting a new iPhone so I clicked the link to check it out. The deal looked really good and they said I just needed to deposit $200 first to secure it. I didn’t think too much because I actually had exactly $200 at that moment so I just sent it.

After that there was no response at all and that’s when I realized I got scammed. Looking back it was pretty obvious like the account wasn’t official and the offer was too good to be true. This experience made me realize how easy it is to fall for scams when the timing feels right and now I know I need to be more careful before trusting anything online.
